Moodle is an acronym for "Modular Object-Oriented Dynamic Learning Environment." It is a free and open-source learning management system (LMS). Moodle is used for blended learning, distance education, flipped classroom and other e-learning projects and exams in schools, universities, workplaces, other sectors in over 107,000 institutes.
With customizable management features, it is used to create private websites with online courses for educators and trainers to achieve learning goals. Moodle allows for extending and tailoring learning environments and exams using community-sourced plugins. There are already EASA part 147 MTOE's using moodle for their exams.
